• From Portland, choose the scenic route south-west on 99W to Hwy 18 to the coast at Lincoln City.  Or take Interstate 5 to Corvallis and go west on Hwy 34 directly into Waldport.

• From Eugene, take the scenic route  Hwy 126 to Florence.  Alternate route take Interstate 5 or 99W to Corvallis and then west Hwy 34.
   

• Hwy 34 is a beautiful country road that climbs Mary's Peak and then follows the Alsea River to the coast.  You will find County, State and Federal Parks along the way for a short rest or picnic lunch.  
   

• There are two narrow sections with hairpin turns.  It is wise to take it easy, enjoy the ride and follow the posted speeds.
